Our Parents, Our Partners
International research tells us that the biggest single reason a child does well in their
education is when their parents take a real, active and consistent interest in what their
children are learning in school. Therefore, at GEMS International we are committed to the
best possible contact between home and school through our use of a variety of means
of communication, such as personal interaction through our Parent-Teacher conferences,
email and use of the website.
GEMS is always looking to further develop its connections with its parents and recently
developed the online MyLearning program which enables parents to appreciate what is
happening in the school in a variety of languages. We have adopted this program at GEMS
International School.
Our parent information events allow students to demonstrate to their parents what they
have learned, how they have learned it and, perhaps most importantly, why they have
learned it.
The GEMS International School Parents' Association (GISPA), works with the school to
enable great events such as International Day and Teacher Appreciation Day. All schools
are communities, and we hugely appreciate the work done by GISPA in working with us
to build our community.
GEMS International School is very accommodating to children that come from non-English speaking countries and
supports them in the integration process. The children at GEMS International are happy! They go to school with a
smile on their face and it’s a pleasure to see the progress made by children throughout the year. Parents are kept
involved daily through homework and presentations or events at GEMS International. The teachers are available and
you can speak freely with them.
