Bringing Learning Alive
at Key Stage 3
Years 7, 8 and 9 are traditionally known as Key Stage 3 and follow the English National
Curriculum and includes subjects such as: English, Mathematics, Citizenship, Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Arabic, Spanish, French, Art and Design,
Technology, History, Geography and Physical Education. Islamic Education and PSHCEE
(Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education) are also offered.
The transition between Year 6 and Year 7 is designed to be “seamless”.
As in EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2 we aim to encourage debate, promote active student
participation in learning and develop a spirit of enquiry. The curriculum is designed to be
full, broad and balanced, ensuring that each and every student will excel.
